The main challenge was coordination. Sensitive documentation had to be organised, multiple parties had to be aligned, timings and travel had to be carefully managed, and each step had to be prepared well in advance.

All of this involved a highly visible public figure, with very little room for error, improvisation or last-minute issues.

At the same time, there was a very simple reality: even a former head of government has to go through the same offices, appear before the same authorities and comply with the same formal requirements as everyone else.

That combination made the matter particularly delicate. The work was not only about understanding the immigration procedure, but about making an ordinary administrative process work smoothly in entirely extraordinary circumstances.

We had to coordinate documents, appointments, personal appearances and different procedural steps with a high degree of precision, minimising unnecessary exposure and anticipating anything that could cause delays or complications.

In matters like this, much of the value lies in what the client does not see: ensuring that the documentation is complete, that the right people are coordinated, that each step happens at the right time and that the client can move through an inevitably bureaucratic process with as much normality as possible.

The objective was simple: to ensure that a process which could easily have become complex because of the client’s profile and circumstances was handled with discretion, control and without unnecessary disruption.
